Ideas

I plan to make a pattern using kid scribble. This pattern can be used as a fabric, wrapping paper or pattern of stationeryThrough this project, we can show that any painting can be a digital design.

Artist / Designer

Ruth Oosterman is an artist from Canada. She creates watercolour paintings with her child. Firstly, her child draw sketches independently with an ink pen. And then, she paints watercolors on top of the ink pen drawing.

I try to work quickly and let imagination and play take root into the painting rather than taking it too seriously, this way I can encourage Eve’s contribution without making it to ‘grownup,’ ” writes the self-taught artist. “As Pablo Picasso said it can take ‘but a lifetime to paint like a child.’ I feel so blessed that my daughter can remind me once again what it is to paint like a child by letting me see through her eyes.

  1. You need to discuss more in-depth how this informs your work. What have you learned from looking at this? Have you looked at other sources? You need to include full Harvard referencing on your blog. Please make sure you improve this. You can use the DMU Harvard Referencing handout for guidance.
